Cornerstone Sports was created by the need to reach out to the children in our community through sports.  Our goal is reach boys, girls, moms, dads and even grandparents with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Cornerstone Sports proudly presents Upward as a fun, reliable, passionate and encouraging sports experience for boys and girls, in K4 through sixth grade.

Currently, Cornerstone Sports offers basketball in the winter and soccer leagues during the spring. .  We also offer various sports camps during the summer. Each sport league consists of an eight-game season with one, one-hour practice and one, one-hour game each week. Teams are formed based on individual player evaluations coupled with a player's experience to create the most balanced teams possible.

Upward promotes character and self-esteem in every child by:

·        Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities

·        Establishing a one-hour practice and game each week

·        Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time

·        Creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game The emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship, not the scoreboard and standings.

We are looking for coaches for our Upward Basketball teams and soccer teams. Practices will begin the end of November. All coaches must attend a designated coaches meeting and pass a background test.  Games will begin the first of December and end mid February.  Time required is one hour a week for practice and one hour on Saturday for games.  If you are interested, please contact Brian Hiatt at 972.475.4403 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
