God is great!  We have returned from our recent trip to Kenya with joyful hearts and enduring stories that show God's great love for us.  Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who prayed.  Many lives were touched as we traveled throughout Kenya.  Many seeds were planted, watered, and harvested!  It was such an honor to be among the Masai people in southern Kenya and to be with the people of Usigu in western Kenya.  We met so many who were hungry for more knowledge of God and more of His presence.  Currently, there is a very severe drought threatening the people of Kenya.  Crops and livestock are dying daily even as many must make the decision as to whether they will have water or food for the day.  Along with water and electricity rationing in Nairobi comes the threat of disease.  Please pray for the people of Africa and the missionaries who serve them.  God is truly greater and can and will provide for His people!

"And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]."  Mark 16:15 Amplified

This was the Lord Jesus's command to His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven to sit down at the right hand of God.  In these last days it is imperative that we take that command seriously and increase our efforts to reach others with that good news.  Cornerstone Assembly of God is doing just that by supporting missionaries through such measures as monthly support, prayer, and special offerings.  We currently support missionaries serving in Southern Africa, Eurasia, Russia, Latin America, France, Mexico, Nicaragua, and the Asia Pacific Region.   We also support several U.S. based ministries that are categorized as home missions.  Among these are ministries such as Dallas Teen/Life Challenge and Chi Alpha. We believe everyone should be involved in missions giving.  Our children raise money for missions through BGMC (boys and girls missions crusade) and our youth give through the Speed the Light program.

This year's Assemblies of God Missions' theme is "EveryOne".  Reaching the world through local ministry (Rowlett, Rockwall, DFW metroplex), domestic ministry (U.S.), and foreign ministry (global) is of vital importance to Cornerstone. Surely time is short and that which we do we must do quickly. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, by EVERYONE to come to repentence." II Peter 3:9 , NIV
