Dear future team member: You have received your application for the drama team, and I would thank you for your interest. I really think you should be aware of a few things before you commit to the drama team. Below are some of the guidelines and information of which you need to be aware. - Practices will be Wednesday at 6:00 and held at Cornerstone Assembly of God.
- If you will not be attending practice, you must notify me before the practice either on my cell phone or on the church line
. - It is expected of you to arrive and be ready to practice 5 minutes before scheduled beginning.
- Each practice will begin and end with prayer.
- Wear comfortable clothing, preferably athletic pants and a long t-shirt. We may be working on a human video or something where there may be lots of movement. Please do not wear something that could restrict that or any revealing clothing. During practice or performance shirts that reveal the midriff area must have an undershirt underneath that will cover the area.
- Not every person will be in every drama. We cannot always involve everyone in everything we do. Sometimes too many people can actually subtract from a presentation. Please come anyway to help us with your ideas.
- Fun is expected, but disruption of practice could ultimately result in a suspension from the team or “sitting out” a drama.
- A Christian attitude and reputation must be kept in the group in and out of practice.
- It is standard for everyone to have a pair of black pants, a black shirt, a pair of khakis, and a white shirt. These will be the basis for most costumes. If this is a problem contact me, and we will work it out.
- We are going to operate in an attitude of perfection. If what we will be presenting is not stage worthy, we will not be presenting it. I will not let myself or you get embarrassed.
Remember, everything we do is for God. We must keep our focus on Him; that is why I may appear strict. When we go before an audience, it is not for our glory; it is to minister and lift up God’s name. If everyone can remember the above and follow it, we can have an awesome drama ministry that can change lives. God bless you, and I cannot wait to get started. In Christ,
